We started the day at Bagel Barrel, and just as our hero got threw the doors, his favorite bagel happened to be coming out of the oven. Over a cup of coffee and bagels I sat with our happy couple and discussed there special day we planned for them in doylestown. Pat, owner and operator of the Bagel Barrel, was happy to send our hero off with a whole bag of fresh bagels. So, I left them with a map so they could find the other businesses who participated. Anita was gratefull her husband was good at directions.

Next, our heroes headed up State St to Bucks County Running Co., where they were greeted with a friendly hello from Rick, the owner. Anita had thought it would be good to get John a new workout gear for his therapy, and the stock at Bucks County Running Co. had just what we needed. They picked out a nice outfit for him from socks to shirt. John was so appreciative, he didn't want to take it all.

Next, they strolled further down State Street to the corner of Main Street where they stopped at Lilies of the Field, a boutique of American made women's apparel. Jona, the owner, made sure Randy took great care of Anita. Anita snatched up a few lovely garments that looked like they were made for her. She even found a pair of one of a kind earings to boot! Such a great shop in town.

After the Flemings leasurely walked thru the beautiful streets of Doylestown, they headed over to the Historical Society park. It was there that Amber, from At Home Yoga, guided them thru a peaceful session of relaxation. Neither Anita or John find they realy take the time to smell the roses. They are always moving. It wasn't easy for them to just sit and have time for stillness. It was great to see Amber teach them a thing or two about how imprtant it is to take a breather.

After taking the time to try to relax, Anita and I headed over to the salon, while John went over to 86 West, where he had a special surprise awaiting. We made sure Nascar was on the big screen for him, (one of his favorate pastimes).

Anita and I went to town on her hair. She was so excited to actually have time to put aside for herself. In order to lighten her hair a tad, we added some natural High lights. She was a bit nervous, about those highlights, but I assured her that we were aiming for a natural look and not to worry. This was a good step for her hair since she wanted to work towards a lighter base color without stressing out her hair.

Domani_Star_Doylestown_PA And last but not least, across the street to Domani Star for dinner. Domani star is known for thier northern Italian flare.

We had Anita's favorite wine waiting for her. Chris, the head chef and owner, has exquisite culinary expertise. He prepared a meal that was the perfect finishing touch, and from what I hear, not a crumb was left on their plates. Thanks Chris.

86_West_Doylestown_PA With a wonderful surprise Anita had a present for me for creating this fun filled day for them. They were so gracious to have received such a day. AND to top it all off, Anna and Anita invited me out for lunch weeks later.

86_West_Doylestown_PA This is a very special couple. Even after giving their time for our country, they don't forget the troops that are still over there. They have organized a care-package program at their church to send anything from Granola Bars to Juice Boxes, toothpaste to girl-scout cookies. Just about anything to help bring a bit of home to the other side of the world. After seeing several big boxes for each of the 5 local troops, we could only imagine the cost of shipping, which came out of their own pockets.
